Following Mozart’s masterful classic, Le nozze di Figaro, love, deception, and class conflict are depicted through quick-witted comedy. The opera follows the barber Almaviva throughout a single day as he attempts to win over his beloved Susanna while simultaneously evading the philandering Count. Through mistaken identities, disguises, and imposingexchanges, lessons on infidelity and love are brought forth.

The Figaro set involved extensive custom millwork and scenic fabrication, including custom millwork alterations with detailed architectural elements such as filigree appliqué and dental moulding. Custom CNC-fabricated doors with intricate trim and a custom pink poolside gate helped unify the visually elaborate design, with a poolside curtain and track installed behind the door opening. The back wall incorporated rotating panels to facilitate a scene change from painted blue and green stripes to painted clouds, and an upstage flying wall was constructed to support an additional transition. Six custom antlers were expertly built and installed along the walls. Three custom faux trees were created using boxwood mounted on casters, allowing them to be easily rolled across the stage. The entire set was fully scenic painted, creating a cohesive and dynamic environment.
