We partnered with Louisville-based + Kentucky-focused non-profit Kentucky to the World to realize their vision for an interactive mobile cinema to bring their excellent video interview series to a wider audience while mitigating COVID-19 exposure.
This theater creates an intimate space for viewing several videos that “enhance the intellectual reputation of Kentucky, its people, and its assets by featuring and promoting the stories of extraordinary people who are passionate about their Kentucky ties”.
About The Project
The theater houses a custom digital media player, software, and storage system with interactive motion and distance sensors to for a hands-free experience, ensuring public safety and COVID-19 compliance. The system is accessible online to allow remote content updates.
Currently hosted by the Frazier History Museum, Kentucky’s premiere history museum in downtown Louisville, as part of the Cool Kentucky! exhibition, the exhibit is designed to be completely modular in order to travel throughout Kentucky to various high schools and other host institutions.
